Allesley Park Walled Garden Group

How we are run

The heritage garden is run by community members on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. We use an all organic approach to maintain the garden. We installed a Pavilion with a solar panel to self-supply energy, a terrace for entertainment and a large tank for collecting rainwater for our garden. All the mulch is sourced from our dedicated compost bins and the wormery.

Our group is not responsible for the whole Walled Garden, we are only responsible for the kitchen garden, orchard and pavilion.

If you intend to charge events that run at Walled Garden outdoor areas then you need to check with Coventry City Council and go to their website and look for the “book a park” link. The Allesley Park Walled Garden Group is bound by the council parks’ regulations and so any intention to charge for the events would mean needing to contact them directly.

venue booking

The new built Pavilion is built by long-life logs through a green constructer. It provides an excellent venue for activities, events and education, and a comfortable and relaxing environment for all who visit.

Please be aware that there is only lighting but no heating and water supply in the pavilion. All painting or wet activities are not allowed inside the Pavilion. However, those activities are permitted outside the Pavilion at the Terrace.

The Pavilion booking suggests a donation of £10 per morning or afternoon. The pavilion availability depends on what we already have scheduled.
